Kids Team Derby 2010 - Pinky Princess

Lucy had her first stick horse derby yesterday with all her Kids Team friends! It was so cute - the Senior Citizens had it all decked out - even had the official 'call to the gate', (or whatever that cool horn tune is - I am Derby illiterate!) a great rendition "My Old Kentucky Home", and fabulous awards!
Lucy had been excited for the derby all week - Mom and I (with a little help from Kaye) constructed what I must say was a fantastic pinkalicious unicorn stick horse! But when the day of the race came, she must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed because she was a GRUMP! When I dropped her off that morning she was pouty and hanging her head. I thought she'd be out of it later on but I was sadly mistaken. When I got to the race she was still hanging her head and pouting. She was very sad that her Daddy couldn't be at the race she said. That about broke my heart, but I eventually was able to cheer her up a little and after a couple of practice rounds around the track she was okay. She didn't win the race - but she and 'Princess' as she named her unicorn, did win 'Best In Show'. Way to go Lucy!!!

WOW! The Mayor was even at the race! Okay, so the fact that he is Lucy's Granddad might have helped a little! LOL!

Nate got 'Overall Favorite'. Here are he and Lucy showing off their ribbons and horses - ugh, I mean unicorns.

Photo finish!

Fashionista

Lucy recently got some outfits for spring/summer from her Aunt Lara so of course she had to put on a fashion show. I've honestly NEVER seen a 3 year old who loves to try on clothes like this. Here are the results! Thanks for the gifts Lara!

Tiptoe Through The Tulips

I know I have already posted pics of Lucy in the 'tulip dress' but I had to post some of her with Nana and Steve's beautiful tulips. We snapped these before church last week. We also included some of Nana and Steve's yard - it is the prettiest it has ever been! Happy Spring!

Lucy with her Momma Elephant (or at least that's what I feel like these days!!! 30 Weeks pregnant and counting! June can't come soon enough!)

Jumping Jelly Bean

Words cannot describe how much Lucy LOVES her trampoline. She is on it every afternoon and evening. Here are some pictures of her having some jumping fun!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter holiday - time with friends and family - although it just is NOT the same without Daddy. We miss him terribly but we did get to talk to him on Easter and fill him in on all the 'bunny fun'. Daddy didn't get his Easter treat we sent him (a camo Easter basket full of treats) until several days after Easter, but at least it was still intact when he got it! We heart you Daddy!!!

Baby Rossi - Lucy's newest baby cousin!!! How cute is she in her Easter dress?

Lucy is crazy about her!

Ready for church!

Lucy got some great treats from the Easter Bunny this year - and an extra special treat from Mommy and Daddy - a TRAMPOLINE! Now I realize a trampoline is a rather large gift for Easter. We were going to get this for her for her birthday but you see since her birthday is at the end of August she would be limited on her use of the tramp due to extremely hot conditions turning to extremely cold conditions pretty quickly after that. So we gave it to her for Easter. But the bunny gets all the credit for the bubble, flip-flop, candy, barbie filled Easter basket! :)

She was thrilled! She has jumped literally every day since Easter!

BUBBLES!

Flip Flops!!!

A Belle Barbie!!! YAY!

Daffodils 2010

My dear friend Kaye who has been taking her daughter Karey to this same field of daffodils since she was 2 told me about it after I had been admiring her pictures. So of course I had to be a copy cat and run right out there to take Lucy's pictures in one of her two Easter dresses. I was unsure which she'd actually wear for Easter Sunday but it worked out well since we took the pictures in this one, she decided to wear the other that day. Anyway, here are some pics - which Lucy was thrilled to pose for as long as she got to pick some flowers in the process!!!

Something made her giggle like crazy, this is my favorite picture!

Disney on Ice ROCKS!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE DISNEY ON ICE! This is one of the coolest shows ever, from the costumes to the special effects to the whole Cinderella's castle thing. I'm as amazed by it as Lucy. This was our 2nd trip to the show, but the first time to see 'Princesses on Ice'. It was wonderful and perfect timing since Lucy is in her princess stage. She of course had to be dressed as Belle for the show. Nana and Cousin Henry came with us and although we were a little worried that he would think the show was too 'girlie' he loved it! Any child of any age would! Fireworks, princesses, princes, genies, dancing crabs, everything! It was great. Can't wait til next year!
Oh and we were lucky enough to be sitting in the 2nd row!!!
