My sister just sent me this in an email and I thought it was so beautiful, and so so true. I wanted to share. So here is to all the wonderful women I know: my mom, my sisters, my grandmothers, my aunts, and my best friend just to name a few.

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end. BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still.
Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
I just did.

Little Froggy!

Lucy loves bath time. She loves her tub toys, bubble bath, and even getting her hair washed (well, most of the time). But most of all, Lucy loves her froggy towel. Well, actually it's Henry's towel, Lucy has a bunny towel. But she has found Henry's and now of course she thinks it's hers and wants me to wrap her in it every night. She'll say "ribbit, ribbit, show me in the mirror Mommy". The glimpse of herself as a frog is of course is followed by that sweet little smile and a lot of cackling at herself. It's one of the cutest Lucy moments so far, and one of those times you want to lock away in a box and keep forever. (sniff sniff, tear tear, sappy mommy moment). It really is adorable, so I had to snap a few pics of my little froggy last night.

Swimming Star!

While in Louisville this weekend we got to watch Elizabeth compete in a swim meet. I don't get to see this as often as everyone else, so I was so excited! She did a great job and I am very proud of her. Way to go Lizzy!!! I love you!!!

Happy Birthday Henry!

We enjoyed a funfilled birthday with Henry this weekend. He racked up on fire engines, cars, and superhero's. Here are some pics. Happy Birthday Henry!

By this point little Mr. NO NAP was exhausted as you can see by his eyes.

Big Sis was there to help with the party preparations!

Lucy and Henry . . . one of the few moments that they weren't fighting over toys.

Play Date with Stella!

Cousin Stella is in from Texas and Lucy got to visit with her on Friday. The girls had a play date at our office (sounds weird I know but for those of you who don't know Stella's Nan (my Aunt Jennifer) and I share an office so it works out). The girls had tea parties, school time, and best of all. . . a special visit from Nene! Nene is the BEST babysitter in the world. . . she kept both Stella's mommy and me when we were little, and as I often tell my mom "every child needs a little Nene in their life!". Nene made the girls Indian hats and colored Turkeys with them. I cannot believe how Stella has grown since I last saw her. I keep track of her on her blog, but it's still unbelievable how much of a big girl she is!!! Thanks for visiting with us Miss Stella!!!

Wee Disciples

Lucy has been participating in the preschool playgroup at our church for a couple of months now. She has the best time and learns so much from Mrs. Connie! Here are some pictures from last week's group, where the learned about the letter N and Nurse Rachel came to visit!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Here are some pictures of Lucy the skunk having fun handing out candy to all the trick or treaters in Liberty! She had more fun doing that than actually getting treats herself!
