Winter Wonderland!

We got to enjoy a little bit of the winter weather yesterday . . . .Lucy couldn't get enough of playing in the snow! She made an attempt to play on her swingset and fell flat on her back! Of course Mommy gasped and began to run to her soon-to-be screaming child, but instead was surprised to see Lucy's little face pop up smiling and giggling! She then went on to make several snow angels and was completely fascinated by her footprints. After this, followed by several minutes of scooping up snow and licking it off her gloves (nice and healthy) Lucy was sooo upset when I made her come in and dry off/warm up! She is a little snow bunny for sure!

A Presidential Celebration

The Wee Disciple play group had a belated inauguration yesterday. The girls got dressed in their princess dresses while boys brought out their Sunday best to attend an "inauguration ball" and put on an inauguration parade through the church. Ms. Connie even performed a mock oath of office with Grant being Mr. Obama himself, with his beautiful first lady, Chloe. The kids had a big time! Here are some cute pics!

Weekend With the Kiddos!

Henry & Lizzy came for a visit this weekend, along with Aunt Lara and TT of course! Besides the horrific sharing wars of Lucy & Henry, it was a great weekend! Here are some pics of the kiddos at Nana and Steve's house Saturday hanging out with Cousin Matt and me!

Henry decided he really like the Elton John look in Lucy's pink shades.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

My schedule is so busy during the winter months since I coach the high school dance team. A lot of my team is spent running to practices and performances. Luckily, Lucy loves going to ball games with me so I get to take her along and watch as she dances along with the girls, runs around on the sidelines, and stares in amazement at the cheerleaders. She has been asking for 3 weeks to have her picture made with a cheerleader, so last night I finally remembered to bring along the camera. Brittany was more than happy to pose with her, and as you can tell from the huge grin on Lu Lu's face, she was super excited! She also posed for a pic with my dancers. This is the first year of coaching that Lucy has actually ENJOYED being at the games . . . mainly because she knows she can get suckers at the concession stand . . . and she is now old enough to get pumped with all the music, noise and excitement rather than crying about it! I'm so glad we get to share these fun times together!

Pretty Princess

Good ol' Santa, you just never know what he's going to bring. This year he brought some Little Mermaid make-up, and in Santa's defense, he thought it was just clear gloss, and not real make-up. Lucy absolutely loves it though, and yesterday I let her play dress up . . . well she said she was playing wedding and that she and I were going to get married. She's very fascinated with weddings since attending my cousin Matt & Betty Jo's wedding in October, and since she recently watched Cinderella for the first time and saw Cinderella marry the prince at the end. So here are a few pics of her with her beautiful, colorful face and all the beads we could possibly find. Yes I admit, she looks like a bad victim of a little too much mardi gras fun, but it's still cute!

Check out the hand band with that fro!

Just a picture when we were hanging out at home, I had to include this one on this post since she's laying with her princess pillow and princess blanket.

Merry Christmas!

For those of you who don't know, Lucy suffered from some major (random) leg cramps on Christmas Eve and Christmas day which we have now assumed were some strange growing pains. But despite the random cryiing fits where she could not (or would not) put any weight on her right leg, we still had a good Christmas. Christmas morning was a bit rough when she woke up with another pain in her leg, and swore she could not walk. So she had to sit in my lap the entire time she opened her gifts from Santa. But after a while the toys distracted her from the pain and she got better. Here are a few pictures of Christmas morning.

A new turtle to hold all the tub toys (this was more of a present for Mommy than Lucy since you can barely move in our shower without knocking over 10 tub toys!)

The Christmas morning madness begins!

Her very own doctor kit!!!

The look on her face when she saw all the goodies from Santa is priceless!

Preparing for Santa!!!!

I am a little behind with getting our Christmas pictures up, but we have had a crazy schedule lately! As you can see from these Lucy had an exciting Christmas Eve, preparing for Santa. We got home late from Nana's house, so Mommy didn't do the full out cookie baking, we "re-gifted" some Christmas cookies that MiMi and Papa had sent us. Lucy also insisted that Santa doesn't like regular milk, he likes CHOCOLATE milk, so as you can see from the picture above, she had to mix up some chocolate milk for him! Here are some other pictures of her putting the cookie plate together for Santa too, during the middle of counting cookies she looked up at me and said "Mommy, do Santa like chocolate chips?". SO CUTE!
