Little Miss Attitude
The terrible two's have begun . . . a little late, but they're here and in full effect! Lucy loves talk back to me and defies everything that either of us tell her to do . . . I have NO idea where she gets it, we all know that I was SO SO perfect as a child and never had a single temper tantrum . . . HA HA! I take complete responsibility for her attitude, and any that I get from her is proper punishment for my difficult years . . . 27 and still counting . . .

Sweet Sleeper
I just had to get a picture of this. Last night Lucy went with me to my Dance Showcase, which turned out to be a pretty long night. She normally loves to watch the dancers and cheerleaders, and although she tried so hard to be good last night, she was just exhausted by the end of the evening and so cranky. But when we got home all she wanted was her sippy of milk, a blankie on the floor, and some quality time with her Mommy and the Wizard of Oz (only the 1,273 time she's watched the movie in the last 3 weeks!) She hadn't much more gotten through Dorothy following the yellow brick road before she was fast asleep, head in hands. It was just so sweet that I had to snap this pic for everyone to see.

Love is In the Air!

Our Sunday afternoon was spent in VALENTINE CRAZINESS!!! The kitchen was madness as we worked hard to make treats for snack time at play group as well as valentine crafts for each of Lucy's friends. Lucy helped to decorate the cupcakes (as you can tell from the picture below). I am NOT a cake decorator by any means, but they tasted good anyway. I was particularly proud of my watermelon & orange heart arrows. I didn't get a pic of them since I put them together when we actually got to play group. You can see the kids devouring them in the pictures below.
I have discovered that having a child involved in a play group and daycare can get very difficult and expensive around any holiday time. And I always seem to get the snack time assignment for play group on the week of a holiday. (If you'll remember my post about the jack-o-lantern oranges from Halloween). But Lucy and I have a lot of fun making our festive snacks!!! Now I have to get geared up for the Valentine's Party at daycare on Friday!! WOO HOO!!!
