Super Swimmer
Lucy has started swimming lessons. Lucy has always loved the water and is always excited to see a pool. But an added bonus to these swim lessons? The instructor is Betty Jo!!! One of Lucy's favorite people (and mine too!), Betty Jo has been wonderful! Lucy is already learning to put her face under, float all by herself, kick all the way to the opposite end of the pool, and most importantly (to Lucy at least) to wear goggles and flippers! Lucy loves swimming lessons better than anything and I am always excited to see how much she has learned. I am amazed with her progress so far, all thanks to Betty Jo!
These aren't the greatest pictures. I wasn't using my best camera, so I'm sorry for the fuzziness.
P.S. For those of you who don't know, Betty Jo is married to my cousin, another one of Lucy's favorite people, Matt - AKA- Matt Davuuuuus.
BIG COUSIN!!!
During this long vacation from blogging, we have welcomed a new member of the family. Baby Mollie was born on May 24th, 2009. She is a sweet, beautiful, healthy baby that we are so excited to have! Lucy finally became a big cousin, and boy is she thrilled! This is really her first experience with a baby and she is so sweet with her. She constantly reminds Henry, and herself, "just two fingers, be easy, no jumping" when she's around Mollie. It's so cute. I have some great pics of Mollie, but this one was just too funny not to post. Lucy was so excited to hold Mollie . . . that is until she got her in her lap and figured out that Mollie had a little 'surprise' in her diaper. Lucy immediately threw her arms in the air, turned her nose and yelled "She's yuck! She smells disguisting!" Lara and I were cracking up! So here is a pic of Lucy and her not-so-pleasant-smelling baby cousin!
Shame on Mommy!!! This is For Beth & Amy
I know we're all thinking it so I'll say it . . . SHAME ON ME!!! For not posting in nearly 2 months!!! Ha!! We have been a little busy around here. Sending a husband off to the military and becoming basically a single parent for 4 months is a little harder than I thought. Overwhelming in fact. So between work, daycare, play dates, family visits, dance classes, swim lessons, writing a million letters to daddy, among various other activities. . . we have been a little preoccupied. So finally, here I am. Back to blogging. It may take me a million years to catch up but I'll try. I have been shamed by my sister and co-worker for not blogging in so long, so this post is just for you guys - See Beth and Amy? I told you I would get around to it eventually!!! HA!!
