Lucy's Pumpkins
FIRST DAY OF FALL ???
Although it started out like a fall day, as all days do now, it ended up hot and sticky like the end of summer. Lucy started her day off yesterday with her first trip to Wee Disciples play group at our church and she had a ball. She was the youngest of the 10 kids there but you wouldn't have known it. She sang her ABC's as loud as anyone and did her crafts and numbers just as well. I have to say even I was impressed with her behavior. She listened to each story and lesson very well.
The evening was spent playing in the yard with a beach ball and bat, and if she wasn't hitting the ball around the yard (like a golfer rather than a baseball player) she was trying to wack somebody with the bat. She thought it was hilarious and we DID fuss at her and make her stop, but even my mother-in-law would tell you that it was hilarious when Lucy nailed her right in the rear end . . . and hard . . . with the bat. She also spent a lot of time on the swingset with one of her many "Baby Tella's" (Baby Stella's . . . her name for nearly every baby doll in the house, named after her big cousin Stella who she doesn't get to see too often but she still talks about all the time)Then Grandpa Steve came out to visit and he and Lucy got all dolled up in her 'earrings' (which are really little plastic bracelets) and pranced about the house. Too funny.

" I pretty Mommy?"

The next Tiger Woods of goofy golf.

Running races between our house and Pop & Momma Jo's . . . one of her favorite outdoor activities.

"Mommy watch me and Baby 'Tella"
(Don't worry Emily, she doesn't name them after who they resemble, every baby is Stella, Mack, or Jackson. If we were naming this one after who she resembled it'd be Baby Albert Einstein.)

Pageant overload . . .
Sorry I haven't been blogging lately, I am on pageant overload with all of this week's productions for the big APPLE FESTIVAL pageants. . . I was in charge of Miss CC Saturday night and I'm helping out with the other pageants. Unfortunately this has consumed my life for two weeks . . . and no pictures or major events have happened with Lucy lately . . . I promise to blog again soon!!!

Pool Party
Our friends Michelle and Billy were kind enough to take us as their guests to the pool at the country club on Sunday. We got to spend a little bit of time in the water before the meltdown came. Lucy enjoyed some time with Baby Jax and Brayden before she got a fever (which we didn't discover until we got home and out of the sun) and begged to go home! Just to keep you updated, she is now at home after a long day of being pulled between 2 doctors offices and a pharmacy yesterday, suffering from our first run-in with STREP THROAT! Here are a few pictures from our day at the pool:

Hair!!!! (Part 2)
Farewell to Summer!
Just a few pics from last night as we enjoy (???) the end of summer . . . . We have had a great one, with our pool time, swingset, flower watering(Lucy is my big gardening helper!), and bouncer, but we won't miss the hot sticky weather!!! It was so humid last night that when I brought the camera out to take the popsicle picture, it steamed up and I couldn't even see through the lens!
